A medical practice is a highly complex system.  Many practices can keep the system running under stable conditions, but find they need additional resources to help manage change and respond to new challenges.  Some practices have recognized that there is dysfunction in their system, and they need outside assistance to resolve the problem.  These are practices that can benefit from an engagement with MedPractice Solutions.

Analyze

An engagement with MPS begins with a thorough assessment of the current situation.  What is working well, and where are the problems?  What is the impact of the economic downturn on the practice?  An estimated Return On Investment (ROI) for any proposed improvement programs is also provided.

Design

A systems-engineering approach is utilized to design a program of process improvements aimed at solving the problems and optimizing performance.  MPS has several highly effective programs in its “tool box,” and also draws on the power of the top technology vendors in the market to craft the most effective solution possible.  MPS’ ability to customize a program to meet the specific needs of the practice helps ensure a successful outcome.

Implement

Special attention is paid to implementing the program, ensuring that the practice staff can sustain the improved performance, and that the desired return on investment is achieved.

A/D/I Cycle

Developed by James C. Larson, the Analyze/Design/Implement cycle is a powerful problem-solving approach that can be applied to a small bottleneck or an overarching problem that is impacting multiple systems within the practice.  The key is to continue monitoring the situation, re-designing and re-implementing (tweaking) the protocols as necessary to achieve “best practice” performance.
